Expedition Marrakech in support of help for heroes 14th-28th May 2011

 

 

  

 

 The first of many Expeditions in support of Help for Heroes.

The first is Expedition Marrakech.

An on road/ off road challenge from a designated place in the UK terminating in Marrakech

Following a movies theme you will be set tasks and questions on the way through France, Spain and Gibraltar into Morocco. following a point to point route via GPS with area mapping to find the answers.

UK -Morocco approx. 1900 miles not including the bit in the Atlas Moutains!!!!

The event will start on Saturday 14th May 2011.

It is planned to leave the UK via Dover and after a short ferry to Calais will start a long drive south.

Vieux Mareuil France will be the first stop over for two nights. A chance to meet the other Teams and complete the challenge set for you!!

An early start to get to the foothills of the Pyrenees and a rest over before the Pyrenees Challenge.

The Spanish Border and a rest over before a drive through Spain.

One more stop to rest up and onto Gibraltar.

Algeciras will see us before embarking on the ferry to Morocco.

Stop at the Kasbah for mint tea and sugary treats.

Fez for some shut eye.

Atlas Mountains for a couple of days and nights!

Who mentioned camels!!

Marrakech (largest Souk in Africa) for a cuple of nights and presentation

Casablanca for cocktails!

Rabat overnight

Ceuta and away back to Spain.
